“This year, we are proud to witness an increase in the number of restaurants awarded MICHELIN Stars, all led by talented chefs. Many of these chefs have returned to their roots, using modern techniques to tell the stories of their hometowns and to rediscover the flavors of their childhood.

At the same time, street food stalls, family-run eateries, and long-standing establishments continue to preserve culinary traditions with authenticity and passion.
For our team of inspectors, the journey of discovering new dining spots in Vietnam remains as exciting as it was in the beginning. Vietnam’s First Michelin Green Star
One of the most anticipated moments of the Michelin Guide Vietnam 2025 was the awarding of the country’s first Michelin Green Star. This distinction is reserved for restaurants that demonstrate outstanding commitment to sustainable gastronomy.

Lamai Garden (Hanoi) earned this historic recognition. The restaurant features seasonal, plant-forward menus and a kitchen designed to reflect openness, natural flow, and balance. Lamai Garden embodies the growing global movement toward environmentally conscious fine dining and now leads that movement in Vietnam.
