Hanoi’s Craft Villages, Hands-On
This half-day car tour takes you to two of the Red River Delta’s oldest craft villages, with an English-speaking guide and a small group of up to 14. You don’t just watch — you roll incense and paint a conical hat you keep.
Itinerary
- Pick-up in Hanoi — 7:30 AM (morning tour) or 12:00 PM (afternoon tour), from your Old Quarter hotel or a meeting point (Circle K, 141 Hang Bong, or Mango Hotel, 118 Le Duan, next to Hanoi Train Station);
- Quang Phu Cau — Incense Village (1.5 hours): watch artisans blend sandalwood and cinnamon, try rolling incense sticks yourself, and walk the lanes of drying incense;
- Chuong Village — Conical Hat Making (1 hour): see palm leaves woven over bamboo frames, then paint and personalise your own hat to take home at no extra charge;
- Drop-off — back to your Old Quarter hotel, or at Hanoi Train Street for onward travel.
