Hats off to our fab guides Bee & Lucy. After we arriving at a different hotel than the one I had provided, and at very short notice. The girls picked us up from new location, following a few texts. We were on the last minute when we arrive but they were so understanding and nothing was an issue. Due to tjis my husband and I are looking our best 🤣 They were both very smartly dressed, unlike us who had literally dropped our suitcases in our room then went straight out . Careful drivers, made us feel at ease on the back of the mopeds in this bonkers biking city, but we loved it. We headed first to sample vegitarian Ban Mi i (we had tried meat options previously). Really tasty. Then on to the next which was a huge pancake stuffed with prawn and beansprouts. Interestingly we had a large bowl of leaves, lettuce, purple mint, mint, basil, one tasted of fish. We sampled them before using a mixture of the leaves to make our own wrapping pieces of the pancake with the leaves and diping it in the spicy fish sauce dip. Delish!! Then on to the oldest apartment buildings in the city before heading to the flower market, where Bee showed us how to make a flower bloom, very artistic!! Then lastly we had 3 more dishes and a dessert. A egg dish with greens. Pork in leaves and colored sweet potato followed by a special dessert if avocado with coconut icecream. After this we had a nonstop tour seeing various sights around the city before being returned safely back to our hotel. The girls spoke excellent english, both very witty and fun to spend time on this tour with when in HMC do it like a local. Highly recommend.
