Incredible Experience with KissFoodTour Saigon – A Must-Do in Ho Chi Minh City!

I recently had the pleasure of joining the KissFoodTour in Saigon. From start to finish, the tour was an absolute delight, offering a perfect mix of local food, culture, and great company.

My guide, Anh, was more than just a tour guide – she felt more like a friend. We chatted about everything under the sun, from Saigon’s hidden gems and cultural quirks to personal hobbies and even music. It was like having a local friend show you around, which made the experience feel truly authentic and special. Anh’s warmth and passion for the city made me feel incredibly welcome and comfortable throughout the tour.

The food journey itself was nothing short of amazing. We started off in District 5 (Chinatown), where we tried some incredible tapioca noodles that were bursting with flavor. After that, we had a chance to catch our breath at the vibrant flower market, where I even got to open my own lotus flower – a unique experience in itself!

Next, we got hands-on in making a delicious Vietnamese spring roll with rice paper, fresh herbs, and other local ingredients. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and delicious.

Then, we crossed over to District 2, on the other side of the Saigon River, where we stopped to take in stunning views of the skyline. It was a perfect moment for some photos and a short break.

One of the highlights (and a bit of a personal challenge for me) was trying seafood in District 4. I’m generally not a fan of seafood, and while Anh didn’t push me to try it – knowing there were other options available – I decided to go for it anyway to get the full experience. To my surprise, the scallops ended up being my favorite dish of the entire evening! They were cooked perfectly, and I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone.

We finished off the night with a delicious dessert – a creamy, pudding-like treat with milk. While I can’t remember the name, I do remember it being absolutely delightful!

The entire tour took about 4.5 hours, and throughout it all, Anh was an exceptional driver. The motorbike was very comfortable, and I felt completely at ease zipping through the streets of Saigon. Honestly, if you’re at all nervous about riding on the back of a motorbike in the city, don’t be – Anh is an expert, and the ride was smooth and safe the whole way through.

Overall, I can’t recommend this tour enough. It was an unforgettable experience, with great food, wonderful people, and the perfect chance to dive into the heart of Saigon. If you’re in Ho Chi Minh City, this tour is an absolute must-do!
