Saigon Food Tour: What to Expect in 2026 (Dishes, Route, Prices)

A Saigon food tour with KissTour is a 4-hour evening motorbike ride with a woman driver: 10+ local dishes across 5 districts, 2 short sightseeing stops, hotel pickup, and all food and drinks included for $59 USD (about 1,560,000 VND) per adult. You book now and can pay in cash after the tour.

I ride this route several nights a week, so this is the guide I wish every guest read before hopping on the back of my motorbike. It covers what you will actually eat, what it costs, and the small things — rain, kids, picky eaters — people always ask about at the first stop. Prices below were checked on July 13, 2026 and may change.

What Happens on a Saigon Food Tour?

A Saigon food tour is a guided evening ride on the back of a motorbike that takes you to the stalls and neighborhood spots locals actually eat at — not the places with laminated tourist menus. Your driver picks you up at your hotel or Airbnb at 5:30 or 6:00 pm, fits your helmet, and for the next 4 hours you eat your way across the city. A daytime version is available on request, but evening is when the stalls open and the streets come alive.

The Kiss Food Tour is the #1-rated food tour in Saigon on TripAdvisor, with more than 5,200 five-star reviews across platforms — and every driver on the team is a local woman.

What Dishes Will You Actually Eat?

Expect 10 or more dishes: noodle soups, grilled seafood, banh xeo (Vietnam’s sizzling pancake), snails, BBQ, and sweet local desserts — with Saigon beer, iced tea, and soft drinks included. We skip pho and banh mi on purpose: they are excellent, but you can find them on any corner without us.

At a street stall, most of these dishes cost 30,000–60,000 VND (about $1.20–2.30 USD) each. The value of a food tour is not the food bill — it is knowing which of the five stalls on the block is the one the neighborhood queues at.

Vegetarians, picky eaters and guests with allergies are covered — just tell us in advance, and anyone who skips seafood gets alternative dishes. If you want a route built around Michelin-listed spots instead, our Kiss Michelin Food Tour ($79 USD) follows the Michelin Guide’s Ho Chi Minh City selection.

How Much Does a Saigon Food Tour Cost in 2026?

The Kiss Food Tour costs $59 USD per adult, all-inclusive: food, drinks, driver, helmet and hotel pickup. Nothing extra to pay at the stalls.

Tour Length Price per adult (USD)
Kiss Food Tour 4 hours $59
Kiss Michelin Food Tour 4 hours $79
Kiss Vegan Food Tour 4 hours $59
Kiss Saigon By Night 3.5 hours $39

Making the tour private costs $10 USD extra per adult. Children under 12 pay a child price — message us on WhatsApp for details. You book now and pay later: cash after the tour is fine, which means zero risk if plans change. If you cannot make it, just message us in advance and cancellation is free.

What Is the Route Like?

The route crosses 5 districts, from quiet backstreets to buzzing food hubs, with 2 short sightseeing stops between courses so your stomach gets a break and your camera gets a turn. It is not a fixed tourist loop — stalls change as the city changes, and after 100,000+ guests we know which ones are worth your appetite this month.

Is Riding on the Back of a Motorbike Safe?

Yes, for most travelers: you ride pillion with an experienced local woman driver, helmets are provided (kid sizes too), and your driver adjusts speed the moment you ask. One recent guest wrote that she “felt very safe on the scooter and was happy to take videos while riding.” We wrote a full, honest answer in our guide to whether motorbike tours in Saigon are safe.

“Most first-timers grip the seat for the first ten minutes. By the third dish they are filming the street with one hand,” says Vy, one of our ao dai riders.

Kids are welcome. Children under 7 sit between the driver and a parent; from 7 up, they get their own bike and their own driver, with a kid-sized helmet either way.

What Should You Bring (and What Should You Skip)?

Bring an empty stomach — skip lunch, or at least go light — plus comfortable clothes and your phone or camera. Skip the helmet (provided), cash for food (all included), and anything dressy: you will be sitting on plastic stools where the food is at its best. If it rains, we ride rain or shine with ponchos ready; in a real storm, we cancel and refund in full.

Saigon Food Tour FAQ

Do you pay for food separately?

No. All food and drinks are included in the $59 USD price — we pay at every stall, you just eat.

Can vegetarians join?

Yes. Tell us in advance and dishes are swapped, not skipped — or book the Kiss Vegan Food Tour ($59 USD), which is fully plant-based.

Can kids come on the tour?

Yes, the tour is family-friendly. Children under 12 pay a child price, kids under 7 sit between the driver and a parent, and from age 7 they ride with their own driver.

What happens if it rains?

The tour runs rain or shine with ponchos provided. If a storm makes riding unsafe, we cancel and refund in full.

How do you book and pay?

Book on the website or over WhatsApp with no pre-payment — you can pay in cash after the tour ends.

What time does the tour start?

Daily at 5:30 or 6:00 pm. A daytime tour is available on request, with a slightly different route and menu.
