KissTour guides and guests in front of the lit Dragon Bridge, the stop that makes a Da Nang night tour worth it

Is a Da Nang Night Tour Worth It in 2026? What You Actually See

Is a Da Nang night tour worth it? A local guide breaks down what you…

Is a Da Nang night tour worth it? For most travellers with one free evening, yes. A guided 3.5-hour motorbike ride costs $35 USD, starts at 6:00 PM, and puts you in position for the Dragon Bridge fire show at 9:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. On your own, those same stops cost you an hour of Grab hops to stitch together. Skip it if you landed the same day, if you are travelling with a baby, or if you are here in October and a storm is sitting on the coast.

What Do You Actually See on a Da Nang Night Tour?

A Da Nang night tour is an after-dark ride through the riverfront, the bridges and the food streets — roughly five to six stops in 3.5 hours, on the back of a bike, ending near the Han River. Da Nang after dark is compact: almost everything worth seeing sits within 6 km of the Dragon Bridge.

A typical evening covers the Han River promenade and its lit bridges, a night market where locals actually eat, a beachfront stretch along My Khe, and a viewpoint for the bridge show. What makes a Da Nang night tour worth it is not any single stop — it is that you eat, ride and watch in one continuous line instead of three separate taxi trips.

Here is what is actually happening in the city while you ride, all times checked July 30, 2026:

What When Cost
Sun Wheel at Da Nang Downtown (Asia Park) 4:30 PM – 10:00 PM daily Ticketed (varies)
Son Tra and An Thuong night markets From about 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM Free entry
Han River dragon-boat cruise Departures roughly 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM 150,000 VND (~$5.70)
Dragon Bridge fire and water show 9:00 PM, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Free
Marble Mountains Closes 5:30 PM — daytime only 40,000 VND (~$1.50)

Prices in Vietnamese đồng (VND); USD figures are approximate (≈26,500 VND to $1) and may change. Show times per the Da Nang Department of Tourism; some operators also list a Friday show and extra performances on public holidays, so confirm on the day.

When Is a Da Nang Night Tour Worth It?

Guests eating at a Da Nang street food stop at night with KissTour guides

A guided night ride pays for itself when your problem is time, language or logistics — not budget. Three situations make a Da Nang night tour worth it:

  • You have one evening only. Most guests here are on a 2–3 day stop between Hoi An and Hue. One evening does not survive trial and error.
  • You want to eat where you cannot read the menu. Night-market stalls rarely have English menus. A guide ordering for you is the difference between three dishes and eight.
  • You do not want to drive. Da Nang traffic is calmer than Saigon’s, but parking near the bridge on a show night is its own event. Riding pillion removes the problem.

That is the pattern we see: the bridge is what people book for, and the food is what most guests tell us made the Da Nang night tour worth it. If you want the full menu of after-dark options before you decide, our guide to Da Nang at night lists them without a sales pitch.

When a Da Nang Night Tour Is Not Worth It

Three cases where we tell people to book something else — or nothing at all.

1. September to November, when a storm is forecast. Da Nang’s rainy season runs September to December, and October and November are the wettest months of the year — November alone averages around 467 mm of rain. Our tours run rain or shine and we hand out ponchos, so a wet evening is fine. A tropical storm is not: downpours can last three to five days straight, and in that case we cancel and refund in full. Is a Da Nang night tour worth it during a named storm? No. Check the best time to visit Da Nang before you lock in dates.

2. You landed the same day. A 6:00 PM start after a long-haul flight and a transfer is a lot. Guests who ride on day two enjoy it more, and we would rather move your booking than watch you fall asleep at a food stall.

3. You are travelling with a baby. We do not recommend motorbike tours for infants. Toddlers and children under 7 ride sharing a bike with a parent, seated between the driver and the parent; from age 7, a child rides on their own bike with their own driver. If your group is younger than that, a Han River cruise at 150,000 VND (~$5.70) per person or an early dinner is the better call — more ideas in our Da Nang with kids guide.

One more honest case: if your hotel is a five-minute walk from the Dragon Bridge and all you want is the show, walk there at 8:30 PM and watch it for free.

Da Nang Night Tour vs Doing It Yourself: What It Costs

On money alone, a guided evening and a self-planned one land close together. The gap is in what you get for the same spend.

Guided night tour On your own
Transport between stops included, pillion behind a woman driver 4–6 Grab hops, roughly 250,000 VND (~$9.50) an evening at 13,000–15,000 VND per km
Guide orders, explains and handles the language at every stall Point and hope — most night-market menus are Vietnamese only
Route timed to reach the bridge viewpoint before 9:00 PM Free to watch, but the area jams from about 8:30 PM on show nights
$35 USD, 3.5 hours, plus whatever you eat 400,000–600,000 VND (~$15–23) in rides, tickets and food
Nothing to plan 45–60 minutes of the evening lost to logistics

So on price, is a Da Nang night tour worth it against a DIY evening? It costs roughly $15–20 USD more and returns the planning time, the language help and the stalls you would never have picked. If your budget is the binding constraint, do it yourself — the city is genuinely easy to walk and Grab around, and our things-to-do-in-Da-Nang guide is built for exactly that.

How Much Do KissTour’s Da Nang Tours Cost in 2026?

Kiss Da Nang By Night runs 3.5 hours from 6:00 PM at $35 USD per adult. Here is the full Da Nang line-up so you can compare before you commit:

Tour Duration Adult Child 3–11
Kiss Da Nang By Night 3.5 hours, 6:00 PM $35 USD $26 USD
Kiss Da Nang City Tour (half day) 3.5 hours, 8:30 AM or 1:00 PM $40 USD $30 USD
Kiss Da Nang Food Tour 4 hours, 1:00 PM or 5:00 PM $49 USD $37 USD
Coconut Forest & Hoi An 8 hours, 1:30 PM from $40 USD $30 USD
Ba Na Hills (private car) 8 hours, 8:00 AM $105 USD (2–4 pax) $79 USD

Toddlers under 3 ride free. Private upgrades are +$10 USD per person on the motorbike tours. At $35 USD, the Da Nang night tour worth it question is mostly about your evening, not your wallet. Hungry rather than restless? The Da Nang food guide covers what our riders eat off duty, and the daytime Da Nang tours page has the rest.

FAQ: Da Nang Night Tours

Is a Da Nang night tour worth it if it rains?

Usually yes — tours run rain or shine and we provide ponchos. If a tropical storm hits, we cancel and refund in full rather than ride through it.

Is a Da Nang night tour worth it with young kids?

Not with infants. Children under 7 share a bike with a parent, sitting between the parent and the driver; from age 7 they ride with their own driver. Families with babies are better off with a river cruise or an early dinner.

What time is the Dragon Bridge fire show?

9:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with extra performances on major holidays. It is free, and the good viewpoints fill up from about 8:30 PM.

Do I need to book in advance?

Same-week booking is usually fine, but Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings go first because of the bridge show. You can book now and pay cash after the ride.

How many days do you need in Da Nang?

Two to three days covers the city, one beach afternoon and a Hoi An or Ba Na Hills day trip. One evening is enough for a night ride.
