My Khe Beach is the easy choice: nine kilometres of clean sand, gentle waves and it’s a short ride from the centre. Mornings are calmest and best for swimming. There’s no entrance fee; you only pay if you rent a sun lounger. For quieter sand, keep heading north toward the Son Tra side.
What About Son Tra Peninsula and the Lady Buddha?
Son Tra is the green hill you see from the beach. Ride up for the 67-metre Lady Buddha statue — the tallest in Vietnam — sea views and a good chance of spotting monkeys along the forest road.
